Hellloooo

Hello friends!

I sorry I have been missing for a bit. It has been a very busy Mother's Day season!

And to add to that I have been having a 10% off sale in the shop to celebrate Sweet Mama's birthday, which was April 8. She turned 75! So I have been sewing my little fingers to the bone to keep up with all the orders~ Now I'm not complaining...I'm happy to be busy!

But it has kept me from finding time to write...

So what has been going on with me...

Well, I have added Plus Size BBQ aprons to the shop which have been very popular! I also had a request for a Ruffle Apron in Plus Size. It turned out cute, so that is coming soon!

Also have a new Duet...Love it! Don't you!

It is called Romance...I did have a Ruffle like this too...I need to make another!

Tomorrow is a busy day. It's time for the annual power washing of the screen porch! It is covered in pollen and cat hair so everything must be deep cleaned and then replaced!

Quite an all day affair!!

Yes EVERYTHING must come out and be cleaned!

And I have flowers to plant! Another Gerber daisy to add to the collection!

And a new Knock Out rose to add to the front bed. I would have taken a pic to show but it has gotten dark! So I will share tomorrow with the finished product! (the color for the day is yellow!)

The first flower on this post is my mum from last fall!

It has decided to return...but it is not too pretty. See...
A little frazzled and stalky, but blooming and determined to persevere...just like me!!

So I promise to write more often...once I get my chores done! :)

SPRING is almost here!!

It was such a beautiful day here in Middle Georgia!!! 65 degrees and sunny! A far cry from last weekend's snow. So I took advantage of the nice day and went outside to do so pruning! I cut back 2 crepe myrtles and pulled up 3 bushes of some kind that were planted around the mailbox. I don't really know what they were but I know I didn't like them. While I was there I noticed this!! The bulbs are growing! I have no idea what they are either because each year the grow but never bloom... But every year I am always so proud and hopeful they will make it! Last year they sprouted up only to be killed by our ONLY snow day of the whole year...March 1st!

So this year I am still hopeful but know that winter is not over yet! But if they make you will see it here first!!

My Newest on Etsy!

I love this apron!! Misty Mod Flowers! This is the newest BBQ Style apron listed today. I was so haapy to find this fabric...I had seen it before but always somthing else I had to buy at the time! On the way home from Emory we go home through the same neighborhood. In this neighborhood there is this house that has been repainted. It is a wood house, dark charcoal grey with white trim. Get this...the door is painted turquoise! The same colors as this apron! Love the house and now love this apron!! What do you think? Leave me a comment! If you don't love it, tell me which one you do love!

Sweet Gardenias

I don't know about you but I love the smell of Gardenias! Usually they bloom the first of June, this year they started early. One of my bushes bloomed a full week before the others.
This bush is right out side of my window and beside the screened-in porch. It is heavenly to smell on a nice evening relaxing outside! When Sweet Mama and I returned yesterday from Atlanta, the bushes in the front yard were beginning to bloom. So pretty!! I took my trusty scissors and cut a few blooms to have in the house. You have to be careful cutting them as they will turn brown from the oils in your skin! It can be kind of tricky!

The good news is that there are plenty more to come!

Has Spring Sprung??

Today has turned out to be a beautiful day! Who knew that we had snow last Sunday?! The Bradford Pears are starting to bloom and so is our Tulip tree! The Cherry trees can't be far behind...

I have been busy the past few day trying to finish an order for Polk's Fresh Market in Downtown Savannah. 530 East Liberty St. I sell my aprons there to the locals and tourist who wander in! And with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner, the apron business has picked up!!

I am hoping to make a daytrip on Saturday, drop them off, see my uncle who is in the hospital and come right back. It's only a 2 1/2 hour drive, hopefully the weather with be nice!

Daylight Savings Time starts Sunday!
