Sold an Afghan!!

I sold this afghan this morning!!! Yippee!!!

 I have been crocheting for about 30 yrs (yes I am telling my age!) . I have made a million things that I usually gave away as gifts. With the popularity of the chevron pattern, I decided to try a ripple afghan. My Grandmother made millions of them back in the day, but never taught me the pattern...and I never asked. I used to thing it was an old lady thing! But now, years later, I kinda like it! I like this one with the accent of black in the red and white!

It can be a lap robe or fit a Twin bed!

The Weekend!!

It was a busy Sunday!! Easter, Passover and Sweet Mama's Birthday All in the same day! At church yesterday the whole congregation sang Happy Birthday to her during the service..She was so surprised and happy.

Kojac went to Savannah for Passover so we took Sweet Mama to Longhorn's for dinner Saturday. Of course she got the free desert, an ice cream sundae...which she promptly fed to Precious. It was the only way to share as she only got one spoon!

We had a nice Easter/Birthday lunch at Red's and then spent the rest of the day packing... They are all moving back to Savannah as Kojac inherited his mother's house when she passed away last summer. So after Skippy graduates High School (can you believe it?) they are selling the house and moving the remaining items down there. It is only 2 1/2 hrs away so Sweet Mama and I will be taking road-trips...

I have been busy making new aprons to add to the shop. My latest is teacher aprons. You can see a cute one here - Happy Bugs!!
